Mulakeerai Kootu

Mulakeerai kootu :

Mulakeerai -1 bunch [wash & finely chopped]

Tomato -1[finely chopped]

Water 11/2 tumbler

Sugar -1/2tsp

Cooked turdal -3tbsp

Grind to paste:

Coconut -5pieces

Green chilly -3no

Jeera -1/2tsp

Seasoning:

Mustard seeds -1/2tsp

Split uraddal -1/2tsp

Jeera -1/4tsp

Hing -1/4tsp

Method:

1] Make a paste of the content given under grind to paste.

2] Boil water in a kadai,add the sugar and salt,then add the chopped green leaves .

3]Wait for 3 minutes,sothat the leaves get cooked.

4]Then add chopped tomatoes, groundpaste and cooked turdal.mix well. Let this boil for 3 to 4 minutes.

5] Season with mustard seeds,jeera,uraddal and hing. Serve with hot rice & dosai.

Note:

1] Wash the green leaves 2 to 3 times and then chopped the leaves.

2]Adding sugar is because sugar retains the green colour of the leaves.
