Kovakai Varuval

Kovakai varuval [tindora]:

Kovakai -1/4kg

Salt -as required

Chilly powder -1tsp

Coriander powder-1/2tsp

Sambar powder -3/4tsp

Turmeric powder-1/4tsp

Seasoning:

Mustardseeds -1/2tsp

Jeera -1/4tsp

Split uraddal -1/2tsp

Curryleaves -few

Oil -3tbsp

Method:

1] Wash & cut kovaikai into round thin slices. Heat a kadai with oil.add mustard seeds,jeera,uraddal,curryleaves onebyone.

2] Add chopped kovakai,saute for 2 to 3 minutes,add redchilly powder,turmeric,dhania powder,sambar powder and salt. Sprinkle little water. Saute for 3 minutes.

3] Sprinkle water& cover it with lid. After 3 minutes,give a stir and serve.

4] Serve hot with variety rice.
